Does Pet Care & Grooming Suite fit with UK GDPR?
It is designed with UK data protection in mind. ApaOne acts as a processor for the data you hold about pet owners, and you remain in control of it. See our privacy notice and the Technology page for how that works.
Is there a contract?
No long contract. Pet Care & Grooming Suite is paid monthly and you can cancel any time. There is no lock-in.
How long does set-up take?
Days, not months. We set Pet Care & Grooming Suite up for you, including your services, reminder wording and existing client list. Your part should fit into an afternoon.
Could Pet Care & Grooming Suite be shut down?
Yes, and we would rather tell you now. ApaOne shuts down products that don't earn their place. If Pet Care & Grooming Suite were one of them, we would give you notice first and a full export of your data.
I already use a paper diary and record cards. Why would I change?
You may not need to. A sole groomer with steady regulars and few no-shows can run well on paper. Pet Care & Grooming Suite is being built for the point where paper strains: reminders that do not get sent, vaccination dates nobody checks until the dog arrives, or a second person who needs the notes. If none of that is you, keep the diary.
Is Pet Care & Grooming Suite only for groomers, or does it suit day care and boarding too?
It is being designed around groomers, boarding businesses and vets. The core is the same for each: a record for every pet, vaccination dates that are tracked and flagged when they lapse, and text reminders to owners. If you run day care or boarding, join the waitlist and tell us which register fields and consents your licence asks for, so we build around them.
Will it make my business compliant with licence conditions?
No software can do that, and we will not claim it. A licence depends on your premises, staffing, procedures and day-to-day care. What the product is being built to do is keep pet records, owner details and vaccination dates in one place, so the records an inspector asks for are easier to keep and to find.
What happens to my existing client list and record cards?
Moving them is the hardest part of changing any system, so it is part of what we are designing. Set-up is planned to cover your services, your reminder wording and your existing client list. If your records are on paper cards, tell us on the waitlist form. Knowing how many groomers are in that position shapes what we build first.
Can I get in early, and what does joining the waitlist commit me to?
The product is at the validating stage, which means we are testing demand before building it out. Joining the waitlist commits you to nothing. It tells us a real business wants this, and it gives you a way to say what it must do. If the product does not go ahead, we will tell you.
