Never lose a pupil to a forgotten lesson
Pupils get a reminder before every lesson.
Driving School Manager
A lesson diary for every instructor, theory progress for every pupil and reminders that go out on their own.
No card · 2 minutes
A pupil forgets a lesson and I sit in the car for an hour, unpaid.
My diary is a paper book, and the office can't see it.
I can't remember who has passed their theory and who keeps putting it off.
Everyday problems of the trade, in the words we hear them. Not quotes from named customers.
How it works
Each instructor gets a diary and each pupil a record.
Lessons are booked against the right instructor, and clashes are flagged.
Pupils are reminded before each lesson, and their theory progress is tracked.
What you get
Pupils get a reminder before every lesson.
Each instructor has a diary the whole school can view.
Theory progress is recorded for each pupil.
Clashes are flagged as you book.
Each pupil's record shows their lessons so far.
Gaps in every instructor's diary are easy to see.

You do. Export your pupil records, lesson history and diary whenever you like, without asking us first. If you leave, your data leaves with you.
Driving School Manager is built with UK data protection in mind. You stay the controller of the data you hold about pupils, and ApaOne acts as your processor. Our privacy notice and the Technology page explain how we handle and protect it.
No. You pay month by month and can cancel whenever you want. We would rather keep driving schools and instructors by being useful than by a contract.
Days, not months. We set Driving School Manager up for you, including your instructors, lesson types and pupil list. Your part should fit into an afternoon.
Yes, and we would rather tell you now. ApaOne shuts down products that don't earn their place. If Driving School Manager were one of them, we would give you notice first and a full export of your data.
Possibly not. If you teach alone, your diary is full and pupils rarely miss lessons, a paper diary and the free DVSA driver's record do the job. Driving School Manager is being built for the points where paper stops working: when someone else needs to see your diary, when reminders need to go out while you are teaching, or when you want theory progress and lesson history for every pupil in one place.
Not while a pupil is driving, and no software changes that. DVSA guidance says it is illegal to use a tablet or mobile device when supervising a learner. Driving School Manager is designed so that reminders go out before lessons without you touching a device. Updating a pupil's record is something to do while parked with the engine off, at the end of the lesson.
No. Since 12 May 2026 only the learner can book, change or cancel a car driving test in England, Scotland and Wales, and unofficial services that search for appointments are not allowed. Driving School Manager is being built around your own lesson diary, pupil records and theory progress. It is not designed to connect to the DVSA booking service.
No. It is designed for independent instructors and for driving schools. Each instructor has a lesson diary, so a single instructor simply has one. The whole-school view, where the office can see every instructor's week and clashes are flagged, matters more as you grow. Tell us on the waitlist how many instructors you have, so we build for the right size of school.
Honesty first: Driving School Manager is at the Validating stage, which means we are testing demand before building further. Joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You can tell us what the diary, the reminders and the pupil record must do for your school, and we will email you when there is something for you to try. If the product does not go ahead, we will tell you.
Your sign-up is also a vote: it tells us this product is worth building next. If it doesn't earn its place, we'll tell you.
