Possibly not, and that is the question we are testing. Micro-Storage & Garage Lease Engine is being built for small operators: owners of a few lock-ups, a block of garages or a yard of containers. My customers are not good with technology. Will they rent a garage online?
Some will and some will not, and the product is being designed with that in mind. The idea is that a customer can pick a free unit, accept the agreement and set up payment from a phone. For customers who prefer to ring you, you should still be able to add them yourself. Tell us on the waitlist how your customers like to sign up, because that shapes what we build first.
Can I keep my own licence agreement?
That is the intention. The product is designed to store an agreement against each unit and each customer, and to have the customer accept it when they rent online. Your wording stays yours. We are not a law firm and will not write your agreement for you, so have your own agreement checked by a solicitor before you rely on it, with or without software.
Does it lock people out of the gate when they do not pay?
No promise on that. The product is being built to flag missed payments and send reminders, so you know about a late payer on the day and not at the end of the month. Gate and lock hardware is a separate matter, and no integration is confirmed. If gate control matters to you, say so when you join the waitlist. Demand from operators decides what gets built.
What happens to my unit and customer records if I stop using it?
Your data is yours. Every ApaOne product is built on a shared core that includes data export, so you can take your units, customers and billing history with you. The product is still at the Validating stage, which means we are testing demand before building further. If it does not earn its place, we say so openly and people on the waitlist hear it from us first.
