Trace any batch back to its ingredients
Each batch records the raw materials that went into it.
Craft Brewery & Roastery Batch OS
Recipes, batches, raw materials and duty records kept together, so you can trace any batch back to what went in.
No card · 2 minutes
Brew sheets are on clipboards that get wet, lost or both.
We run out of a hop mid-week because nobody counted the stock.
Pulling the duty records together means digging through notebooks.
Everyday problems of the trade, in the words we hear them. Not quotes from named customers.
How it works
Record ingredients, quantities and process steps for each beer or roast.
Start a batch from a recipe and record what went in.
Raw materials are deducted, and the batch joins your duty records.
What you get
Each batch records the raw materials that went into it.
Recipes are stored with their quantities and process steps.
Raw material stock falls as batches are logged.
Duty records are kept batch by batch, as you produce.
A production list shows each batch and its stage.
Batch records sit side by side under each recipe.

Yes. You can export your recipes, batch records and stock history at any time. Your data is yours, not ours.
With care, and with UK data protection law in mind. You decide what is collected and why. ApaOne processes it on your behalf, as your processor. The details are in our privacy notice and on the Technology page.
No. You pay month by month and can cancel whenever you want. We would rather keep brewers and roasters by being useful than by a contract.
No. We do the set-up for you and load your recipes, ingredients and opening stock. Expect days, not months, and an afternoon of your time to check it over.
Yes, and we would rather tell you now. ApaOne shuts down products that don't earn their place. If Craft Brewery & Roastery Batch OS were one of them, we would give you notice first and a full export of your data.
If you can find any batch sheet in a minute and month end takes under an hour, you may not need to. Paper fails when you need to search it: finding every batch that used one hop lot means reading every sheet. Craft Brewery & Roastery Batch OS is being built so each batch records the raw materials that went into it. It is not live yet, so keep the paper for now.
We make no claim about that yet. The product is designed to keep duty records batch by batch, as you produce, but we are still verifying how its records fit UK alcohol duty and HMRC guidance. We would rather say so than promise something we have not checked. Join the waitlist and tell us what your return needs, and we will be straight with you about what it can and cannot do.
Both. It is being built around recipes, batches and raw materials, which a roastery has as much as a brewery: a roast profile is a recipe, a roast is a batch and green coffee is the raw material. Duty records do not apply to coffee. We want to hear from roasters on the waitlist, because roast logs, blends and bag codes have their own needs.
Any production software needs your recipes, your ingredients and an opening stock count before it is useful, and this one will be no different. If your recipes are in a spreadsheet and you have done a recent stock count, you are most of the way there. We cannot give a setup time until the product is live. Tell us on the waitlist how your recipes are stored today.
It might be. If you brew once or twice a week and sell mostly over your own bar, a good brew sheet and a stock spreadsheet will do, and both are free in our resources. Software starts to pay when several brews a week mean the same figures are copied between batch sheets, stock records and duty workings. Join the waitlist only if that sounds like you.
Your sign-up is also a vote: it tells us this product is worth building next. If it doesn't earn its place, we'll tell you.
